The NurtureAlly pc

philosophy

NurtureAlly focuses on providing holistic support for the family unit. This is done in a variety of ways including 1:1 therapy and facilitating groups within the community. Individual therapy sessions often occur in natural settings such as the home for play-based therapy for children, parent consultations or visits to address pre and post natal wellness for birthing individuals. I believe in fostering an inclusive space that values the well-being of every individual.

The goal is to create a nurturing environment where everyone feels heard, understood, and supported. At NurtureAlly, therapy encourages open communication and believe in the power of connection and collaboration.

Through a holistic approach, families are empowered to thrive and overcome challenges together. Family centered therapy is here to support you every step of the way.

Background

Hello there!

My name is Kelly and I am a licensed and registered occupational therapist. Since attending Elizabethtown College for my Masters, I have worked within pediatrics for 10 years across multiple settings including schools, early intervention, sensory gyms and clinics. I have found that progress was best made when caregivers were equally supported and empowered.

In this practice, I focus on the family unit and supporting parental wellness as much as the children’s. This involves many different services from recognizing how to adapt to the novel activities and routines that are unique to parenting to educating and empowering birthing individuals before and after welcoming their new loved ones into their lives.

Outside of the therapy space, I love to find and participate in outdoor adaptive recreation groups! I mostly focus on climbing (you can find me climbing regularly with ParaCliffHangers!) and surfing, but have participated in adapted cycling and kayaking spaces as well. If you have any interest in exploring these activities and finding the right supports and community for you, please reach out!
